My 2022 Bucket List Destinations

It’s that time of year where I start daydreaming about my travel plans. Over the last two years my travels have been closer to home, exploring the stunning sights of Australia. But this year I’m eager to jet off overseas again and explore more of the incredible world we live in. So it’s time to pack my bags, book my flights, and turn my daydreams into memories.

This is what’s on my bucket list for 2022.

South Korea

I’ve always loved travelling in Asia. I love the fascinating architecture, rich history and ancient cultures, and of course, the food. South Korea has the perfect blend of old and new. From the modern skyscrapers and bustling nightlife of Seoul, to the historical charms and shrines of Jeonju, it is a place I am eager to explore. The neon signs of Seoul remind me of my trip to Tokyo (which just happens to be my favourite city in the entire world) so it’s no surprise that South Korea is on my bucket list.

New Zealand

Despite living in Australia, I am yet to cross the ditch and travel over to New Zealand. In 2022 it is finally time to tick New Zealand off my ever-growing bucket list. As an avid skier and adventurer at heart, I have my sights set on Queenstown, renowned for its adrenaline-packed sports. I am also itching to experience New Zealand’s natural beauty with a cruise on Milford Sound and helicopter ride over Fox Glacier.

Singapore

Yet another destination in South-East Asia, Singapore has also made it onto my bucket list. With age-old temples, stunning gardens and green spaces, and futuristic architecture, Singapore has attractions for every traveller. Singapore’s diversity is fascinating to me with multiple ethnic enclaves to explore like Chinatown, Little India, and Kampong Glam. Plus, the world-class restaurants and delicious street food are also a major draw card.

The Whitsundays

Located in the heart of the Great Barrier Reef, the stunning Whitsunday Islands have always been on my bucket list (In case you don’t know, I have a slight obsession with tropical getaways). With a total of 74 idyllic islands, there are plenty of white sandy beaches, turquoise waters, and incredible coral reefs to explore. To me, the Whitsundays is the ideal destination for relaxing on the beach with a cocktail in hand.

Bora Bora

On the topic of tropical islands, Bora Bora is a destination I have had my sights set on for years. There is something so magical about the stretches of white sand, fascinating volcanic peaks, and sparkling lagoons. With its overwater bungalows, coral reefs filled with marine life, and lush rainforests, it ticks all my boxes for a perfect island getaway. Perhaps I will take to the seas instead and explore the islands onboard a sailing yacht.

Until the next adventure,
